There's nothing really SJW-y about the art, to be honest. Mabel's outside a lot so it makes sense that she'd be tanned (:powerlevel: I get about that dark in the summer, and I'm white as fuck:powerlevel
and Mabel's also 12 and kind of a weirdo so I wouldn't put it past her to not shave her legs. They aren't racebent or obese or covered in pride flags or wearing some tacky tumblr clothes. It's super easy to recognize them as Mabel and Dipper, and the art's pretty cute, imo. I don't really think it belongs in this thread.

Sorry for not responding faster. I realized how poor both of these screenshots were once I had posted them both. However, both of these characters do have the darkest skin in the anime (this is the keyword, although Bertholdt still has the same Roman nose) compared to the others, who are mostly fair skinned.

You've got a valid point or two. I too agree that it's not overtly SJW art, and that it's cute. It's just that certain minor details in character redesigns seem so arbitrary, and frankly it's getting on my nerves. Sometimes pictures like that make me more sad because if not thos little details they would be so pretty! Especially this Dipper and Mabel one resembles my own drawing style, but they decided to add body hair to 12 yeas olds.

Tumblr and any other "SJWs" have a huge thing about woman with breasts that really annoys me. Like, I get it, it's annoying to see some stupid fanservice character completely destroy the story of the show through their antics. I also get that sometimes big breasts are not for everyone's liking when it comes to a sexy character. I agree that there are multiple ways to make a character sexy without just giving them double D's and calling them a day.
However, most of the time, these people target characters that aren't like that. They target characters like Bayonetta despite being made by a woman and not really being traditionally sexy. Most people would find her intimidating. She's 7 feet tall and sexually imposing. Some men/women might like that, but many probably wouldn't.
They go after characters like Jean Grey despite the fact she's a pretty feminine character. They go after characters like the ones in Fire Emblem too. This is despite the fact they all have some type of appeal and that there are plenty of characters to choose from that aren't super revealing.
I'd argue they are very insecure about their own bodies because the rhetoric is that fiction is reality. So whenever they don't match up to the """"standard"""" of a fictional character they freak out. This is what happens when you try to make fiction reality to match your emotions. It leads to instability.

And the really pathetic part about it is that they'll slut shame a fictional character because people happen to like them. If a girl tells them that they like the characters as they are, they must have internalized misogyny or something. I remember one occasion where I told someone that just because a female character is scantily clad doesn't mean that they're some "fighting fucktoy".
But no...I sound like an "angry guy with a chip on his shoulder" when I state my opinion about it.

Yeah, making Temari look like a domestic abuser towards her husband Shikamaru is reeeeeally gonna benefit women's rights. I know she's the more active one in the relationship and that the dudes in the Nara clan seem to have a thing for outspoken women (even if they deny it), but sheeesh.
The moment I saw your post, I thought of an "ace lesbian" artist who's mentioned here. Lo and behold, a good part of the horrible examples are hers! And she's still as bad and prone to creepy projection as ever.

Call me crazy, but the picture with Lucina and Hinoka could serve as.. decent original character designs. Ambiguous brown-ness from Hinoka aside, but there's some charm lurking behind this.

Maybe if those designs came from the heart. But they're just attention seeking and masturbatory at best which is the main turn off from a lot of otherwise good racebent/stylized/SJW art.

I present to you some fanart from the game, Dai Gyakuten Saiban, or "DGS". It is a spin-off series of Ace Attorney (which has a pretty shit fandom already on tumblr) and it was never localized but yet shit art was still shat out
The game makes it very obvious who is japanese and who is english and I think it's very offensive that some fanartists make the japanese characters wayyyyy darker than the english characters...
Also, fun fact, if you ship the main guy and main girl characters, you are a promoting heteronormality and paedophilia and deserve to be shot according to these blokes
