I've been a lurker for some time and finally decided to join for this thread. I've noticed that all of these mediocre "progressive" artists are the ones you see on tumblr or Deviantart ranting about how no one wants to buy their commissions and they neeeeed the money to leave their abusive households and live with their internet friends or to buy their meds cause they are a "trans disabled artist with ptsd". Their whole commissions posts are usually a guilt trip so people buy art from them for their charity instead of people buying art that they love.

I feel like I'm being misdirected by the art style but I'm gonna go with a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure character, and take another stab that this is supposed to be Jolyne, based on that sticker.

The Bishie-Woobie thread, in which kiwis post and discuss instances of teen girls and twilight moms redesigning mutilating characters to suit their sexy/I-can-fix-him fantasies...I would be all for something like that.

I say it as someone who loved the original She-Ra cartoon and is willing to give the new one a chance at very least. But this is so fucking irritating and ignorant since if not for the old cartoons that OP and others bash, their precious new series wouldn't freaking exist.

What I like the most about this is the fact these people now screaming "ONLY NEW CARTOONS, ITS 2018 WE HAVE LITERAL COMPUTER MAGIC EVERYTHIN SO PRETTY" are mostly the same "90s kids" that been hating on everything new around 2011/2012.
I wrote this a year or more ago - it's trendy to hate of everything older than you and call fans "nostalgiatards" like it was trendy to hate on "today kids" 5 years ago. Same thing.
Can't we think both newer and older things are good, just different?
