The funny thing is, Horikoshi's original colors could totally work for the character being black and Japanese like these people insist she is. Actual black and asian people would be more likely to be a light skinned to tanned color than pitch black.

If it's not pitch black it might as well be a white woman, that's how these people think, and all you need to do to see it is look at facebook any time a black celebrity gets a light-skinned girlfriend. It's intra-community BS that colorists are trying to mask as social justice to make more palateable to white sjws.

At the same time the omg-all-bodies-r-beautiful thing hit there were a bunch of articles made talking about these black models who had vitiligo that got passed around tumblr, and even though they were being praised for their beauty and uniqueness (and that's how they got their jobs, not despite it) there were quotes in there about how some of them had been bullied in school so tumblr latched on and labelled them an oppressed group because children are mean and that equates to systemic oppression somehow.

Yeah, OP, screeching and throwing tantrums at people who disagree with you will SURELY endear them to you and your pet shows. It won't make them hate your new cartoons even more because you shove them on their faces and act like this, huh?

I say it as someone who loved the original She-Ra cartoon and is willing to give the new one a chance at very least. But this is so fucking irritating and ignorant since if not for the old cartoons that OP and others bash, their precious new series wouldn't freaking exist.

Why did they remove her breasts? These reboots and Tumblr are all about body positive redesigns, yet either make them skinny rectangles or chubby with lack of curves, and the pretty characters are always redesigned to either those two examples or a gender neutral design that downgraded their attractiveness on the face and hair, by giving them unappealing faces and/or cut the long, flourishing hair into short, masculine haie styles.

Seems very hypocritically anti sex positive to me. How ironic.
