One of my most persistent hopes for the future is that LGBT can become much more apolitical. As in, there's not this direct link between it and a very specific leftist political dogma/line of thinking. (ex: non-binary doesn't really exist outside of politics) So I'm hoping that somehow there could be some Great Redemption and all the silliness can be thrown out the window where it belongs

After LGBT people are more generally accepted then it'll die out since everything they do won't be some radical act of rebellion and they won't be pressured to think everything they do must somehow advance their cause. Fewer people would give themselves bullshit identities as well since they're no longer trying to fit in with the cool kids.
