This genuinely makes me want to vomit. Nichijou is my favorite anime ever, and seeing people changing the characters just so they can be fat and ugly is terrible.

Also, as an autistic aside, nips don't do braces, they usually don't bother. That's why you see so many characters with fangs, because there's a large minority with double teeth who never bothered to get them fixed.

I found this tumblr artist who headcanons karkat as ftm but I guess he's super feminine and lets his boobs hang and kinda seems like he embraces them???? It reminds me of weird tucutes too much on tumblr

not to sperg, but, (:powerlevel:) I've talked to a lotta trans folks and like. they wanna ignore those parts that they were born with, they wouldn't wanna go around showing them off like karkat over here. I'm not trans myself, but this is just from what i've heard. /shrug

I feel a little late to the party on those redesigns... but in particularly, I thought Tooru's costume was more then just shoes and gloves.

Isn't it implied that she wears a suit made from her own hair, similar to Mirio's costume?

I'm fed up with these kids saying you don't need dysphoria to be trans. What do they think being trans means? How are they so dense? To be trans is to feel like some part of you doesn't fit, right? To feel like your "outside" doesn't match your "inside." I certainly can't speak for everyone. But if you don't have that feeling, then how can you say "I don't identify with the gender I was assigned." What part of the things that constitute that gender, do you not feel aligned with? It's bewildering.
 
Trans fetishism is ABSOLUTELY a thing. Especially in art. It can be considered an embarrassing moment for the characters, which can be very sexy to certain people. Voyeurism comes to mind.

I think the artist is searching for a "genderfluid" approach, but it's still very iffy and honestly uncomfortable to see a 'trans' character like this.

Also, yknow, the trolls from Hamsteak are like 13.

Honestly I think a lot of this stems from a lot of these artists clearly wanting to make genderbend porn, but Tumblr declaring the entire concept to be "REEE TRANSPHOBIA" caused a lot of artists to turn to calling them trans instead because of how Tumblr's collective senses immediately glaze over at the mere mention of trans-anything.

That and a lot of yaoi fangirls seem to love being able to turn their favorite characters into even more of a self-insert for their porn.
