Sorry but I really don’t think drawing a model you like as a popular superhero is a problem. There’s nothing wrong with this drawing at all. It’s not sjw to have drawn a black person.

To my eye there's something a slightly off about the head/face proportions when compared to the rest of the body; it's just slight enough to bug me but not glaring enough to justify putting it into photoshop with a reference grid.

My guess would be there's something related to how the lips turned out and something got scaled up as a result which puts everything else just slightly off kilter, or the neck is just slightly too narrow and the face actually is in proportion but looks out of proportion by comparison.

Stylistically the sharp corners everywhere else don't contrast well with how round the face is, I'd expect a far pudgier individual to have a face that round given the style, but that part isn't even really bugging me, it's just an odd choice. It could also be them struggling somewhat with the perspective for the not-quite-as-extreme angle on the face compared to the referenced She-Ra image while also trying to make the face somewhat rounder, and the struggling amplified the roundness more than anticipated.

I agree this isn’t the worst thing out there, but I think you’re missing the point a bit. The drawing isn’t of the model as she-ra, the drawing is of a black she-ra with some inspiration taken from the model’s appearance.

I rated you "disagree" because I feel this is more of a stylistic choice. I admit with many of the the people in the Tumblr crowd they do the crappy overlay with awful colors, but here it's pretty distinct and Zelda still looks like Zelda.

The colors are gaudy and not the best to look at I admit, but this isn't "sjw" in my opinion. She still looks like Zelda. The artist didn't change anything about her other than her colors and that's no where near the level of making her black and giving her Vitilego. She looks ugly, yeah. But she looks ugly in the normal sketchy artist way not because the artist wanted to get brownie points.

That is unless I'm missing some context here.

I mean there's something wrong with this, but it's not the coloring, right side of her chest near where the arm comes out (so left side of the image). The arm looks like it's coming out of her chest about 3 inches lower than it should because it looks like she shoved at book in that side of her dress to get the that flat but clearly sticking out effect which looks out of place compared the same area on her left side (right side of the image).

I can't stop seeing that but that's the only major problem I really see. Perspective is hard lol.

By the way, I did check to see if there was any change with the character's skin tone. There really wasn't. Last time I checked it's just that the production for the show changed so they just went with a better color palette. There is barely a difference with the characters.

Just because a piece of art comes from Tumblr doesn't make it SJW. Zelda looks like Zelda, and is not black with vitiligo, in a wheelchair, obviously trans and hairy. SJW fanart refers to when a character is completely retooled to the point of barely recognizing them, often checking off as many points on the Special Snowflake list. She's not telling you that Black Lives Matter or that lesbians must accept girldick.

Yeah you guys are right, it doesn't really belong here. It just caught me a bit off guard because the artist usually has a lot nicer coloring.
