I dunno if it counts as blackwashing for the first two characters considering they don't have designs to begin with,
but what the fuck is up with their noses?
It was discovered their voice providers were anonymous black singers. But before that, there were popular fan designs of them looking caucasian because english = white according to the Japanese fandom.
Literally no one cared for these Vocaloids for years and they're only getting brought up now for the whitewashing discourse. Also, same people would blackwash the fuck out of Miku Hatsune and other pale-looking Japanese Vocaloids so

Nah, I remember a lot of tumblr people defending Persephone and Hades as incredibly healthy and their relationship being consensual or something.

Literally one of the plot points of the comic is that she doesn't have a cell phone due to her sheltered upbringing. That would make perfect sense if the artist didn't established that cell phones exist in her world. Ignoring cell phones exist to advance your plot is lazy and trite writing. He could have used her cell phone to call her friends and pass along his number if you really want to used a drunk girl as a plot device.

This artist love so much Miku Hatsune that she's unaible to draw her white :

You can tell this is only a "SJW" art thing because even people in other countries who do art of the Vocaloids draw them with their respective skin color. The mentality behind these people's mind seem to be that you will 100% be unable to relate to a character unless they look like you. This concept is so infuriating to me. How shallow are you that you can't see anything but yourself?
My friends and I aren't fucking white and even we drew miku with the right skin color when we were younger. It didn't bother us, because we understood that while miku could be drawn however we wanted she isn't "us".
When are these people going to learn that a character is not you? You do not have to see yourself in anything to find it enjoyable. And you probably shouldn't because it's really creepy and egotistical. It's one thing to relate to a character and like them. Or maybe dislike them for story-related reasons. It's another to change them because you feel you can't relate to them if they don't have darker skin color, are fatter, and don't have the same gender/sexuality as you do.
I found this on Klei forums...

I could be wrong but I suspect this game is popular among SJWs because of popular let’s players. These artists probably wouldn’t be paying this game (or several other unlikely games) any mind otherwise. As a longtime Dont Starve fan i can't understand how it gets so much sjw art. It's a super hardcore roguelite/survival game filled with dark comedy and white as sheet characters. It wasn't until shipwrecked DLC that that Klei made Walani and Walry (who clearly are not white), but i guess since they not in the multiplayer version they're mostly forgotten. Or maybe they just prefer to blackfy the other characters.
Sjws always draw Wes as black. People shout that that "He wears make up so he is not white fuck you!" but his ears are white so he is obviously white. Wes is the garbage joke character of the game, making him the "token black of the team" is actually kinda racist.
And here some garbage i found in 5 seconds

I'd argue it has less to do with demographic homogeny in Japan so much that anime and manga are basically legal sweatshops so it makes sense that animators and illustrators take on a "don't fix what ain't broken" attitude towards character design when faced with with soul-crushing deadlines, and simply pick one or two aesthetically pleasing designs as a template for every male and female character and then tweak some of the details to save time. Western cartoons such as a superhero shows are also known for doing the same thing due to budget constraints and needing to meet the demands of toy companies who prefer to use as few molds as possible.People can rip into anime all they want and sometimes I will agree with them with the whole sameface thing, but in an anime's case, I'd make the argument that it makes some sense. In Japan, one of the most least ethnically diverse places in the world, having people who essentially have the same type of body and facial features is going to translate into the media. (That and the anime characters at least look fitting and nice to look at)

The rough timeline of the culture for every single one of these games:I blame lets players for every time a flavor of the month indie game is everywhere and people are so obnoxious about it
well shit they must hate EVERY PIECE OF MEDIA
Are you talking about the masterpieces that are the 1313 movies? The artist said they like horror. I know gay horror movies exist, I've watched them, but it's a super tiny niche. I have seen literally one and it was goofy as shit.
