This looks bad. Not half-bad or somewhat bad, but really REALLY bad. The character designs are everything you'd find in a stereotypical "SJW" comic. The awful skin tones, the horrible anatomy, the crappy flow and lineart. Nothing about this layout is good and it actually almost pisses me off a bit. A comic can be hard to make, I'll admit, but if even a comic about stick figures looks better than yours...that's really sad.

Everyone looks like the stereotypical Tumblrina with a shaved head (It's amazing that it's the defining trait of these characters made by these type of artists). The layout is awful. The artist crowds waaayyy too much of the page and the wobbly lines of the boxes don't help either. It just makes it harder to look at.

And then the anatomy and character design. Who decided this was the best state to release this comic. This doesn't look finished. it looks like Thumbnail of sketch for a finished product. The lines don't even connect on the people. There's no lineweight to anything.

This isn't a simple cute comic, it's a mess. The last time I checked the art actually used to look passable. but seeing this is just really depressing. How do you deteriorate so badly?
 
A bit :late: but I decided to look through milquecookie/wolfecookie’s tumblrs and found a couple images I found interesting

They edited someone’s art on milquecookie but

Sure, in the original fanart they look snow white but her edit STILL makes them look white.

Then I took a look at her blog cuz I wanted to see some of her art and I noticed her banner

These are supposed to be herb cookie and werewolf cookie (I don’t actually play the game so I’m going by what she put in the tags) watching a movie. Obviously the light source is going to make them look paler but there’s absolutely no indication that their original skin color would be anything but white.

I dunno. I just found that pretty interesting.

EDIT: A bit random, but I also wanted to point out that when she edits art she tags the posts with how many bones the original artist owes them. She’s like that homeless person that randomly cleans your windshield and then demands you give them money.

Actually, I think the person editing the skintones didn't make them black enough! Anything lighter than Golliwog supports white supremacy and Drumpf.

I know this is kinda :late:, and that most white washing "fixers" are teens who only take art classes that are mandatory in school, but it's pretty obvious that darker skin tones tend to be colored based on the coloring choice.

Ex: This artist draws White/Asian skin tones very pale. Therefore, Marina's skin tone in this art style is a skintone that, in other art styles, would be considered West Asian/Hispanic etc, but in this art style, would be black. This artist's skin tone for Hispanics would be, in other art styles, a tanned Caucasian or Asian.

This artist, however, uses a much better skin tone for Marie and Callie, so their colors for blacks are more bolder and a typical shade an artist would use for an African American.

The first artist's colors would not do with such boldness in colors, as it wouldn't match with the soft, light coloring. The first artist's skin for Marina wouldn't fit for the second artist's piece, because it is not only too dull and pale compared to their other colors. Also...

The second artist draws Daisy as Hispanic, and the coloring of Marina for the first artist wouldn't work for the second artist cause the coloring of Marina in the first pic, for the second artist, would be closer to the color they do for Hispanics and West Asians.

Basically, Tumblr kids suck at color theory.

Anybody want to celebrate the end of Pride Month 2018? Not to be a drag but in all honesty, Pride Month is overall useless and oversaturated as all Hell.
 
I miss the good old days where left/right disagreement was over public policy, and not over the fact that one side was fucking insane.

The sad thing is that the artist had some character designs that were more unique, but we got those instead. This Tumblr actually goes into so other points about the page (scroll down) and Lumberjanes' art in general.
