Decided to search up this game on Tumblr, and there's so much fanart, holy shoot. Decided to pick some pride month themed ones out, as well as some other atrocities.

Baldi's Basics is a game jam creation that takes Sonic's Schoolhouse and makes it into a Slender-type horror game. It's very self-aware of how goofy it is and I can appreciate it for that.

The unironic fandom just confuses me because it feels like they've completely missed the joke.

Damn...I thought the TMM fandom would be safe, but I guess not. It's so odd though. The show is super old by this point and is pretty irrelevant now days. The fact it still has a fandom making artwork like this astounds me. I could get if this was something more recent like Pretty Cure, Miraculous Ladybug, or Madoka Magica, but surprisingly when I went looking for artwork in the Pretty Cure tag, I didn't find much.

The first image is meh. Clearly unfinished art with lazy Pride attire incorporated into it. The picture below almost looks present, but knowing who the characters are it bothers me that they made the characters look even more different from their counterparts.

The third and fourth picture are very nice and clean, but I still don't understand making a character fat and black for no reason, but they have some appeal at least. The fifth image is all sorts of hell though. I feel that this person's style just does not work well with the character. If they drew some creepy art it could work, but not with a 14 year-old girl.

The last image is really, really dumb. Punching people is never a good way to solve an argument and making propaganda pics like this doesn't help anything. Having a character who is by all means straight (she had a boyfriend and was dating for goodness sake) say this shit is also unbelievable to me.

I'm not. Tokyo MewMew started getting popular when I was still in high school, so it wouldn't surprise me that some people who are a few years younger would carry that torch.
