Not sure if this has been posted here before, but, I recently found an artist who likes drawing Bill and Ted in that usual Tumblr artstyle. It would be fine if they didn't make Keanu Reeves look like an American WW2 propaganda cartoon against Japan...

I genuinely like that second one.

I can forgive the Tumblr nose. Their eyes just make them look sleepy, though.

Other than that, I just like seeing people still care about Bill and Ted.

They never seem to learn. Like, learning is a process and it does take time, but even on sites like DA I see artist improve on a monthly or yearly basis. They learn more about not choosing shit colors, move on from MS paint unless they do pixel art, and try an actual application for drawing like Sai, Fire Alpaca, or CSP.

Strangely enough, some of these people have access to this stuff....and still don't improve! Or even worse, they deteriorate. I would say i'm not surprised, but it appears that tumblr only has this issue.

The thing about DA is that an artist more easily gets exposed to more diverse artists and art-styles, and since many artists learn through imitation they end up taking cues from many different artists, while Tumblr lets someone tailor their experience much more heavily leading to artists there looking at almost nothing but the typical Tumblr artist which of course leads them to imitate that style rinse and repeat etc. etc.
