TBH I think Robin looks that way in the Lego Batman? (At least the freckled and red-haired part) so it's not that off-the mark.

Seeing the trans!Peter art reminds me how they try their hardest to "diversify" all the Spider-Man characters. Like i've seen so much black/ambiguously brown MJ, or Indian Gwen...It really feels like they feel so guilty for liking white characters.

Because it is supposed to be Lego Batman Movie version Dick Grayson. Or at least I think so, because he looks almost exactly that in that movie.

at least the trans men look masculine(boyish, at the least) and are trying to pass.
in that first one, if you removed the dialogue it would look like typical fanart with no hint of fetishization. he looks like an actual male which is a huge improvement considering some tumblr people draw fuckin cis men looking like wide hipped bimbo bitches.
when it comes to trans headcanons for superheroes they tend to be a little more forgivable considering a lot of superheroes have been re-imagined over and over throughout reboots. it's when they go full rcdart and start removing core traits of their personality to replace it with new age tumblr politics that it becomes really redundant.
 
i find it lazy so lazy that they take preexisting icky cis men, slap a binder on them without any changes, and call them trans.
but i guess it’s hard being original

Transmen to tumblr usually = binder or massive surgery scars and vagina. Because transguys that have already fully transitioned, including bottom surgery, and pass are boring as fuck.
Doesn't help that their art is always oddly fetishy.

But at least it isn't Rory-tier.

Oh, dear. I discovered this person's art awhile ago when I still was around the Hamilton fandom. Looking back now, I can't believe I never noticed how bad it was.
