They don't really want rep. They want the show to be their personal yaoi fantasy show even though the show isn't even about that.Seriously? You want genuine representation from SOUTH PARK???
I remember a girl on Twitter was pissed off by the fact that this one character she headcanons as a lesbian was revealed to be the new girlfriend of one of the main boy characters and she pretty much claimed she never liked the show and ditched her old Twitter account. I thought "There was nothing insisting that the character was a lesbian. Even still, the fact that you quit a show you never really liked just because one character wasn't the way you portrayed them showed a sense of entitlement"Thats really a problem with media literacy these days. People can't enjoy a character if they are not 100% like them. Its the problem of seeing everything as "self insert".
"this character is a lot like me, I relate to them" is not good enough anymore.
