I will withhold my religion ranting and leave it at this - God wants you to love your body. Troonery directly goes against loving your own body.

I went onto the artist's blog and they... seem to self ship with the fucking blood ocean from Iron Lung? Which is a new one.

the fun part is that none of these people are actually "datable" which is the issue with these types of people who make these games and the games themselves. Like Validate it's full of people most normal folks tend to avoid since they have nothing to offer besides adding to more emotional weight you don't need and are already dealing with. They don't like hearing this but most people don't wanna date a bunch of basket cases.

I dont know the full story and maybe someone here can explain fully, but from I've gathered, fans were claiming a character was non binary and she came out and said the character wasn't and the online fandom went after her for it.

As far as yuri, can anyone here name one yuri anime that was extremely popular to where queers saved the anime? These people make themselves out to be a large and important part of fandom when most popular animes dont even have any gay or trans characters in them and even when they do, I can't think of one that's relevant.

A lot of these people clearly have a gay/lesbian fetish (mostly the latter) but they try to pass it off as "progressive" and "representation"
They'll watch anything except actual Yuri/yaoi shows because they are not the big mainstream thing right now.

My friend said this best but "Why do shows NEED rep to appeal to you?" Wanting a character who happens to have the same race, sexuality, etc is fine but when you start to feel entitled and go "i can't like this character unless they're exactly like me" is where their narcissism shows. I've seen this in the South Park fandom where despite having a few canon gay couples on it, fans still complain and demand more gay couples on the show because "Big Gay Al and Mr. Slave are stereotypes and Mr. Garrison is problematic." I get that Garrison has been problematic but if your biggest problem of Al and Slave are stereotypes in a comedy show where people are stereotyped but are still good people, then maybe South Park is not the show for you.

The thing that gets me is that "queers" are the worse when it comes to this. I've seen so many queers going "There needs to be more LGBTQ rep because queer kids will think that there's something wrong with them" and its like, I've never seen blacks and latinos using the same suicide threats whenever there's a lack of non white rep in shows. Sure you get people who complain but I've never seen these people having these same doomsday fear bait that the queers use. Cross posting from the Yaoi thread but I still can't believe that this was a real comment about how Byler should have been canon because "The fate of queer kids depends on it"

Thats really a problem with media literacy these days. People can't enjoy a character if they are not 100% like them. Its the problem of seeing everything as "self insert".
