And the thing about Marge being a Lois Lane reporter rip-off is so funny since I remember they made an episode about that, that Lisa undervalued her mother for being a "simple housewife" and glorified career women...Only to realize she should love her mother and respect housewives as they are, because after all she chose to raise her kids over anything else.

It's kinda sad to see so many female feminists nowadays dismiss housewives, when I bet you their mothers were probably housewives too.

Took the words outta my mouth, yea. That episode took the piss on shallow feminists that shit on women who don't fit in their high standards for "good womanhood", and yet the twits make Marge into what the episode criticized to Hell and back because MUH FEMINISM WEHWEH.

I almost want to give this Smithers&Flanders one a pass because, unlike the bulk of Tumblr shit, that design was, at least, actually on the show (even as an error), and because I can totally see these scenarios (not counting the Fujo kiss one obvs) happening in the show. ESPECIALLY the Leftorium one.

There's been so much backstory butchering and extreme levels of personality erasure in the examples provided in this thread going on, I'm almost pleasantly surprised to see someone drawing characters doing something canonically feasible. That's... pretty sad.

Yes and this artist goes on to say she wanted marge to be happy. Like no marge was happy being a caring mother that sacreficed everything for her family. She doesn't have to be a trans racial black or whatever snowflake to find true happiness. And I don't see why she has to be a lesbian to find true happiness either. Even the random oc she has for her is mad if complete tumblr aids.

I'll admit, this artist is more annoying than the generic white guilt SJW artist because the implication that housewives are not "happy, complete" women somehow pisses me off. Not every woman out there can manage to go to college, and sometimes a family calls for someone to stay at home. This disdain feminists have for lower-class women has always appalled me.

Or what, do they think every woman out there can be a rich executive that can hire an hispanic maid? Oops, that's racist too! Or perhaps they do only want latinas to be maids and never anything else...
 
I can give some insight on why feminists dislike housewives.

Feminists think that being a housewife is a sign of weakness and bowing to men in an age where a woman can be "anything other than that." So to fit in the feminist mold you have to become very powerful and show your might.

Also being a housewife implies you're attractive enough to have a man want to marry you and that you're stable and well-adjusted enough to take care of a home and raise children well.

Wanna guess who is neither attractive nor well-adjusted?

But most of all, they're actually happy with themselves and their lives, which, deep down, the feminists will never be. They'll deny the hell out of it but most of the tumblr crowd hold the ancient alpha bitch-mean girl mentality of "if I can't be happy, neither can the other girls!" which was probably used against them in high school. Crabs in a Bucket Mentality isn't just a black thing.

Combined with their need to always be right (again coming from feelings of inferiority), that mentality makes them hostile towards any ideas of femininity other than their own. It secretly galls them the "unenlightened" housewife (an embodiment of the "good girls" who played the patriarchy's game and won) leads a more fulfilling existence than theirs of empowered badgirl NEET slacktivism. Housewives were out doing things with other people while they were drawing hawt yaoiz in their parents' basements, because they were different and not like the other girls. But different =/= inherently good, and you can't get a prize if you don't play the game, something which really irks them because they're special, dammit, and supposed to be above society's BS, just like Buffy, Sailor Moon, etc.

As much as they rag on neckbeards, tumblrites are a different side of the same coin, REEEEEEing at the normies and stacies supposedly for their ignorance, but really out of resentment/envy at their happier lives. The trans ones in particular are often just /r9k/ incel sadsacks with their dicks cut off. While there are genuine ideologues on tumblr, I'd venture most members don't really care about intersectional feminism except as a way to feel superior and explain their hangups. After all, the most they ever do is get salty behind a keyboard.

There was a Family Guy episode (pre-2005 cancellation. The ep title is "I Am Peter, Hear Me Roar") where Lois called out a feminist lawyer named Gloria Ironbox (the same one who sentenced Peter to take sensitivity training because he told a sexist joke at work and foolishly admitted to taping a female co-worker in the bathroom taking a dump) for thinking that being a wife and mother is not feminist. Lois explains that feminism is about women choosing whether they can pursue a career or take care of a family or do it both -- then catfights Gloria (and snaps Peter out of being overly feminine) when Gloria makes a snide remark about Lois raising screwed-up kids.

The point in all of this is when Family Guy of all shows makes sense about what feminism is, that's a sign that society is circling the drain.
