G1 to G2 of Monster High are the best ones. Better fashion sense and everything. And almost close to the source material. There were some fans in the previous generation who saw Clawdeen as black because of her behavior lol. I hate the new fans and G3.
That and Frankie's body is... quite modular. idk i have never witnessed Monster High lore and i'm only assuming based on the name.
Funny you say this - it was only nintendo of America, and only in splatoon 3. In the japanese version of splatoon 3 acht is female, and shes female when talked about in both versions of splatoon 2, too. So if we want to be accurate we should refer to the source material - the original japanese version, and call her a she.
I seen people insist she uses a gender neutral way of speaking in Japanese too, but I don't trust these people.
From what i've heard in japanese when you refer to a specific person (singular) there is no difference in the word between male and female - but she is still female

I have seen people that make her straight up a biological man, with male genitalia and using He/him pronouns.
Sometimes I wonder if these people don't believe their own bullshit when it comes to transgenderism because I've noticed the only "straight couples" they like are when one of the people involved is trans. Example, trans woman and "cis" man. Its almost like they want to have their cake and eat it to. "Trans women are no different to cis women" but then you get people who headcanon one or both people in a straight couple as trans to make the relationship "queer". So which is it? Are trans women no different to cis women and if so, what's "queer" about it?
I saw a Tumblr post saying the issue was more how her outfit and hair looked less colorful, not just the skin.
I think the official artwork is nicer to look at, her colour palette is more coherent, and her hair and dress color do not stick out as jarringly to her skin color compared to her in-game model; considering that the models are now done before the offical artwork, it could be an attempt to salvage the in-game model by making her skin tone more desaturated.
I'd tried to do a whitewash edit of her art too but the PNG quality is dogshit having stray pixels pick up the recoloring.
