Because they see themselves in him and consider him "good disability rep", when they're 350 lb hambeasts confined to their bed. It's insanely hard to find art where he's a man. Every time I think I find one, the zippertit scars are there. I breathe a sigh of relief when I find him with a nice body. This started because Evening Montiero, his character designer, supported that trans head canon. They also can't get Jayce's skin tone right. He's an olive skinned mixed race Latino. I fell down a total rabbit hole after reverse searching this image. I was going to put "I'm a quirky 30-year old woman," because these types are always grown womenchildren who act like their stereotypical ideas of what 5 year old boys are like, but while writing it I realized "hey, maybe she's just a cringe teenager and I'm making things up in my head." So I look at the filename and recognize it as a DeviantArt title, I go to BeeCarmine on DeviantArt and she's a pretty new artist. Only been around 5 months, has fewer than 10 Deviations, okay. But something compelled me to Google Bee Carmine, and that's when I found Bee Carmine's professional website:
Peak web design. The shop doesn't exist yet, there are like 3 portfolio pieces I keep seeing over and over, and all her social media links are ALSO her personal accounts. Like her BlueSky:
This is someone who wants to be a professional in the publishing industry and draws like a 15 year old, so I assume "hey maybe it's a kid just starting out and is preparing for when they get out of high school," or something, but then I visited her now defunct Etsy and found a whole slew of new links where she identified herself as Midnight Menagerie and sold crap like this sticker:
and at the bottom of the page it describes Midnight Menagerie as:

The Etsy links to "Spectra Speedpaint" on Instagram, which has been deleted but is also on YouTube, a second professional website (for Midnight Menagerie,) and a Midnight Menagerie Instagram page that posts all the art that was sold on the Etsy.
The Midnight Menagerie website links to a Webtoon that hasn't been updated in 2 years and a publication on Amazon called "Gal's Guide Anthology: Journey," which is published out of a women's history library in Indiana:

I found a page on the website that lists the anthology book Bee was selling and it does list her as an author, but it doesn't say which of the 16 random selfies she is (if she is one at all.)
When you search Bee's name on the Gal's Guide website, the only other result is a poll for which story was the best and it lists Bee's story as "For My Sister." When you vote it doesn't count your vote, since the poll is closed, and Bee's story got 0 votes out of 212 registered.
On the book's Amazon page, the only review gives it 3 stars and says a number of stories "seemed like a lecture," and knowing how this crowd goes I'm willing to bet "For My Sister" is one of them.
That's all I got after a little digging, I was hoping for something more lulzy. Maybe in the BlueSky skeets or tumblr reblogs there's something funny worth sharing, but all I really found is that she's an artist who did a lot of shit up until 2023, tried to rebrand, and has very little to show for it. Oh, and draws like a teenager despite most likely having graduated college at this point. Sad.
