Shipping these two is based on (iirc) an age old CN ad where they're both in one of those places with loads of washing machines? Idk what it's called. This one.
It's called "Samurai Bravo". Tumblr loved the shit out of it a few months ago, and honestly, everyone thought it'd turn into another Onceler type of thing (i.e. a whole fandom based on one stupid advert with no substance but lots of autism), but all were pretty pleasantly surprised when it didn't. A lot of the fanart is pretty decent, in fact.
Honestly the worst I've seen is genderbends and the hipster stuff like the above, and even then it's not so bad. Like this little doodle based on the episodes where Johnny turns into a woman and Jack turns into a chicken, respectively.
I'm not sure if that's because the people who drew it are actually nostalgiafags who remember the ads/shows and actually wanted to try and tribute both by sticking to the original designs, or because the types who WOULD turn the show into genderqueer fuckery are too young to remember or uninterested (because of Johnny being who he is, or just because there's not enough pastel alien lesbians, who can say?).
It's one of the few times everything went better than expected, though.

I think it's a combination of both - because the types of people who love modern Cartoon Network (and who probably never gave much of a damn when CN was in its prime) are too young or uninterested, the people who draw these things would probably have more of a respect for the original designs.
It never ceases to amaze me how sjw art exists of shows that are clearly "problematic" NSFW
If your familiar with the Monster Musume you'll notice Centorea's bust is like 100 times smaller heres officialart to compare:
Why even bother making fanart if its obvious these things bother you
I don't even know what race shes supposed to be
Not the worst in terms of art, but it still reeks of sjw, btw this character is 12 here is official art:
and here is a scene from the anime featuring this character
It seems weird this person drew fanart of this show considering the rest of the stuff she makes art for is pretty tame http://syakake.tumblr.com/tagged/my-art
I dont think this is that bad honestly. They only 'modernized' jack a bit too much compared to johnny but their skin color, weight and features are accurate to the originals.
Id also like to see a show with them together i think it would be cool
Not Tumblr, but I think it deserves to be mentioned here.
I've found a ridiculously stupid Russian radfem group on VK that spends most of its time the (Russian) radfem way: cheering on murder and rape of men, hating gays and trannies, believing they are biologically and morally superior to everyone else and just being a living incarnation of every single negative stereotype about feminists.
What matters most is that they have an incredible art album. Every single psychiatrist would have a field day with it:
"КНН" is the abbreviation of the group's Russian name.
"He provoked me"
"The fate of a rapist"
"How to communicate with guys properly"
The majority of these incredibly positive people are in their 20s-30s.
