And as for the comic, I'm not liking it either. I don't know if it's the unappealing art, the shoehorned Fatshaming or the fact the main character's completely unlikable. But it's not all that good in my opinion.

Content aside, I actually really like the layout in this comic. It's more suited to the scrolly nature of webcomics than the standard page layout most other artists use, which is more suitable for physical comics. Not sure how common this is, I don't really keep up with webcomics anymore, but it always annoyed me when artists just copied the layout from a different medium without questioning if something else might work better. But I guess you'll have a problem if you ever want to produce a physical version of your comic.

afaik that's a pretty common format for Korean webcomics which was adopted by plenty non-Korean comic artists for that same reason

They also take foreeeever to make, however, because you're basically making like 5 pages in a row in one big long strip, so they aren't suitable for people on a tighter upload schedule like 3 times a week. Also not very good for people on potato speed internet depending on how the browser loads it, either slowly creeping in from top to bottom or spending a while just looking at a big pixely blob..

ETA: ALSO a lot of people have the end goal of actually getting their comic published in actual book form (, I know) so they save time by starting out as if they had the intention to print it in the first place.

I love all these artists who learned to draw by copying this week's tumblr super star, but when they move away from what can easily be copied, everything collapses in on itself because they never bothered to learn any fundamentals. That person in particular is incredibly inconsistent and their art seems to change depending on who their senpai is at the moment.

They're imitating all these stylistic elements, but there is no thinking behind it. I especially like that Osomatsu picture where he's supposed to be crying, but it just looks like water is running out of his eyes spontaneously.

Very inconsistent art style. One minute it's tumblr wannabe, the next is just random crap you'd find on DA. Though i'm grateful they didn't turn the Matsunos into dark trans hambeasts.
