Which is funny because growing up in an art community, one of the most common things I heard was "It is easy to draw a cuter, more beautiful person--the actual challenge is in drawing the abnormal, the ugly, the unusual looking people". And I do wonder of member's of Tumble heard this as well as they grew up, and decided that the only way to show their 'talent' was to draw ugly art. They translate an ability to draw grotesquely as talent. It's the exact kind of lacking interpretation of a statement that I would expect from the site.

This, while clothed in progressivism, is hateful, nihilistic and stupid. It reduces people to a number of usually race-based stereotypes, almost all associated with portraying members of the race as fat, ugly and diseased.

Some of the most stunning art has been of debatably ugly people in horrid situations. The problem is, these Tumblr artists have in their ignorance revealed that their so called progressive line of thought is poorly represented in them. Because when they picture the 'beauty' in another race it is through a lens that typically dehumanizes said people. They are not PEOPLE to them--they exist only as the most base assumptions of race. The Mexican Snow White must wear a Sombrero because, hey, that's what Mexicans DO, isn't it? It's REPRESENTATION! Except ultimately it is rarely shown outside of being that race, that gender, that sexuality.

That's their real problem. They define people by their base traits like gender and race, ultimately becoming what it is they hate so much.

So to go around my assignment to get to my elbow, tl;Dr I agree with you.

You're supposed to contour the lines if you're going to use hatching for shading. Also, you're not supposed to use heavy thick lines that match the outline, you're supposed to use thinner lines. It looks like body hair otherwise.
