Now the very thing I don't get about the SU fandom. The show is giving them gays, and yet it's never enough.
I thought giving representation was good? You give black people black characters, and the reception is mostly good (with some critics there and there), but these people cannot be satiated.
 
I think it was interesting tutorial about simplified anatomy until part about bellies.

because she's super white and attractive and wears skimpy armour. basically everything they hate.
 
The complaints about Charlotte's skimpy armour are honestly so stupid because the men's armour for the same class is just as exposing. I'm pretty sure even their butts are exposed too for the enemy fighter class. But ye naaah it's objectification and sexism to give the same clothes to a woman because she looks attractive in it. No one says a damn thing about the naked asses of axe-weilding Hoshidan men. It's clear they're just buttmad they're not some beautiful blonde skinny thing with a nice rack, so they draw her fat to "fix" her.
 
Imagine wasting money to go to art school only the graduate with worse art. Why even pay to go to that school when you can learn to draw SU style on youtube?

That's 'cause if it doesn't check off all the ticky boxes of their very narrow list of expectations, they deem it to be problematic and all that horseshit.

The morbid side of me wonders what it must be like to be an art teacher at a college in this day and age. More the foundational classes than anything else, but there are some normally laid back art teachers who would verbally rip this stuff to shreds if it doesn't at least show a basic understanding of anatomy (there's an old saw that artists who know anatomy can easily "bend" it to fit their styles. Genndy Tartakovsky and, yes, even Rebecca Sugar being some examples).

It's probably awful when you are an art teacher at a prestiged school that is interested on teaching the most important animation elements, and then you get a student who gives everyone super huge hips and is using some weirdly ugly super deformed version of the Steven Universe style.

So, who is up for a Rory thread, that should be fun.

ETA: The top half looks normal but judging from the line size and slight fuzziness, the bottom half kind of looks like it was drawn then transform was used on it to make it bigger? Why? :c
