Opening every sentence with "Blablabla" is perhaps one of the worst stylistic choices I've ever seen in any political cartoon ever, it renders the whole thing incoherent and ironically undercuts its own message by using it in the "good guy's" speech bubbles too.

Apparently, the goal was too make the gems more "alien". Which apparently includes erasing their feminity? A few years it would definitely be considered on topic but I'm not sure how it fit into the current brand of sjw art.

Horses can't even survive with only three legs, evolution already gave them a bad card with their wonky leg system (which is just them basically walking on very long fingers). That's why they get put down if they severely injure a leg, they'd die anyway but slower.

I get what they were trying to do and its an interesting concept. Sadly the artist did everything in their power to make it as unappealing as possible.
There is a difference between Good ugly and Bad ugly.

I honestly wonder if the artist ever even watched Pinocchio. The point was, the only reason why Pinocchio even met Lampwick was because they were both picked up by a predatory man who wants to transform naughty, irresponsible boys into donkeys in order to sell. Lampwick himself was a bad influence on Pinocchio, encouraging the naive puppet to indulge in his more base desires, very similar to the crab-in-the-bucket situation often common in LGBTQ circles, ESPECIALLY amongst children and adolescents. Don't get me wrong, Lampwick is a victim of "grooming" in this story too, but he repeats the cycle and it's ambiguous on how much he knows better.
The mere existence of this piece of fanart is astounding, to say the least. It takes a very special kind of autism to ignore the moral lessons found in the story (none of which were all that subtle), and thus make your enemies' point for them.

Laziness and a disdain for actual beauty, because making things look good takes work.
Kinda like how John Kricfalusi would criticize Disney animation and those influenced by it, like movies made by Don Bluth or the Iron Giant.
While his criticism of young animators copying superficial aspects of well-respected animators without learning underlying animation or art skills is a valid one, and CERTAINLY applies to many cartoons of the 2010s and Tumblr art, he himself was in no position to make such criticisms about anything.
His own artstyle was incredibly ugly, and thus it comes across as him being jealous of those more talented than himself, as up until fairly recently, Disney animation was much higher quality than what you'd get elsewhere.
