I will always find it extremely weird to see people do this sort of stuff to obvious fictional self-inserts of IRL people, or just IRL people in general. It's like when they made every historical character in Hamilton into a pee-oh-see but worse, considering Edd Gould only died a decade ago and his (ex-)friends are all still kicking.
Also, nitpicky at best, but they couldn't even get Edd's haircut right, it makes him look more like Tord with darker hair and green shoes.

This boggles my mind extremely.
I legitmately don't understand why suddenly Tumblr/Twittersphere started to attach themselves to Breaking Bad, especially the whole "Jesse is trans" thing. Especially when Jesse's whole character, if I remember is him being a walking dumpster fire that witnesses bunch of traumatic things during his career in criminal/drug industry.
Like why? Are we witnessing the female equivalent "If I can't have a [insert quirky archtype] bf, I'll become that bf "? Or is Jesse and characters like him some weird "I can fix him" for these people, so they try to shove this weird shit on him?

The hypocrisy of these artists and blackwashing will never be more apparent to me then the controversy surrounding Pokemon Sword and Shield's Nessa. She's a dark skinned character and no where was it officially confirmed that she's actually "black". Most real life ethnicities and nationalities don't even exist in the Pokemon world, but the Western fandom jumped on the idea that she was "black" and never looked back. I thought her character was inspired by some dark skinned Pajeet (Galar is a UK-inspired region after all). I'm sure most people know of the mental breakdown that Western fans had when artists tried making her skin lighter.
Seeing black artists hypocritically gatekeep their character headcanons while shutting down other people's ideas will always be funny to me. I've mentioned it before, but I always see them claim that any dark skinned character who doesn't have their background explicitly confirmed must be "black" or "coded black". Arguing makes you a "racist". I guess Brown people can't be dark skinned.
I do find if funny though, people would have a freakout if anyone claimed that Sinnoh character Cynthia, with her tall stature, pale skin and blonde hair, was a Westerner/foreigner/cracker, etc. As Sinnoh is reportedly based off of Hokkaido and the Russian claimed islands of Sakhalin and Kunashir. Given how there's been some Russian presence there, her physical appearance might have been inspired by someone of Russian ethnicity. But this is never brought up.

I understand and feel that pain too much.
During the whole right now two year trip in this hellhole I made in my mind something like tierlist of fandoms.
1. Understable why SJWs are attached: (eg: Moomins, Boku no Hero Academia, kinda Jojo, Haikyuu, Saiki Kusuo, (mainly fujo-bait/with canonical LGBT elements, mainstream, light/children anime/series/media)
2. Suprising, but you got used to them
(Eg?: Bungou Stray Dogs, JoJo, Chainsaw Man (?), Im not 100% sure of fandoms)
3. How the hell they are there? (Eg: Breaking Bad, Berserk, Game of Thrones, Chanisaw Man (?), Gravitation, The Boys, (mainly dark, gritty series for mature audiences).
About Breaking Bad: I think the current Breaking Bad memes popularity are probably one of gulit. Like in JoJo

This trend looks like it started with huyandere. She's a weeaboo enby who projects herself onto Jesse Pinkman.
I think it's because he fits the tumblr sexyman type (skinny white male) and the "cool" factor of being a drug dealer that made him popular to aidens.

If you hadn't posted the pictures of Gordon and Barney, I would have never known that those...things...were supposed to be them. Jesus, that is bad art. Not just because it is aesthetically ugly and, objectively speaking, poorly done, but because it's (almost?) impossible to tell what the artwork is actually of.
