Isn't the whole "Mary Sue" thing kind of outdated at this point? It was so much bigger in the early-mid 2010s.
Also anyone I've seen defending bad writing/grammar with "this is the internet not a collegiate thesis" is someone whose writing is objectively difficult to read. You don't have to write formally to be fucking legible.

Dear God what did they do to my boy Artorias.
For the record, Artorias has blue eyes. You never see them, but in a Dark Souls comic when he's fighting Dark Wraiths his eyes briefly go from red back to blue. Nearly all of the NPCs in Dark Souls are white. It would make sense Artorias was white himself. (Cue racist joke that if he was black Manus would've never been able to see him in the first place.)
This next one is a wee bit unfair. However she is known for - of all things - drawing an intersex baby for her Elden Ring fic and then complaining that people are focusing too much on a baby's genitals. She doesn't seem aware that babies have different nutrient needs if they are male or female. Sure, in Soulsborne you can get away with gender bending and have legitimate hermaphrodite beasts if you want. But this author explicitly writes that the baby, which is an Omen baby (of which Mohg and Morgott belong) has a vulva and not a penis. She wanted to pull the intersex card so bad.
Her art isn't too bad, but she has a thing for drawing black characters with blonde hair, and the quintessential tumblr nose.
Her OC is a female named Lotho who is a transman.
Again, it's NOT BAD. But you can tell that this is a female, despite her attempt to pass it off as a 'transman'. Since it's Elden Ring very few characters are fat bar the one Godskin Noble.
Black person with pink/blonde hair? If it ain't Nicki Minaj I don't wanna see it.
Okay, now for some better content. Nepheli Loux is a dark skinned barbarian babe from Elden Ring. This is what she looks like:

Mary Sues are a relic, yes, but they still exist. There's one huge fic I'm reading right now that has one.
Mary Sues really became an endangered species since AO3 had more emphasis on same sex male pairings.
Reader x canon character has become more popular and while most don't like them I've grown to enjoy them.

Oh lol, I meant the whole crusade against/for Mary Sues, not so much the concept of a Mary Sue itself. As long as tween and teenage girls want to marry their favorite fictional character or be magical warrior princesses, there will always be Mary Sues. They're a part of nature. But the whole "Fix your Mary Sue" blog and the super intense hatred of them is like...dying out slowly. It's kind of funny to see these kids ragging on a trend that's already well on its way out.

Who cares, it's an Omen baby, they all get cut and put in the fucking pits, anyway. And of course someone who likes Mohg would be into drawing/writing about fucked up baby genitals

Correct, that discourse is dead. The trend today that I've seen become increasingly common is adding trans or non binary characters where they don't fit. It's often Aidens projecting themselves into the work.
Since A03 is now the most popular website for fanfics it's inevitable you'll see it. However I'm seeing more plots involving troons.
However the ABO will be the worst. It's only grown since the fanfiction horrors thread.
I think the Godskin noble is fat yet stretchy at the same time. Smough I believe is fit, as you have to be to carry that hammer around.
