Isn't the whole "Mary Sue" thing kind of outdated at this point? It was so much bigger in the early-mid 2010s.View attachment 3579547
I can just taste the salt here.
i didnt get a screenshot of the oc, but i know she was fat, has short brown hair and glasses, and was wearing a white dress.
>Faceless, anon-like strawman who acts all accusatory towards “uwu quirky” protagonist who’s a snarky prick in returnIsn't the whole "Mary Sue" thing kind of outdated at this point? It was so much bigger in the early-mid 2010s.
Also anyone I've seen defending bad writing/grammar with "this is the internet not a collegiate thesis" is someone whose writing is objectively difficult to read. You don't have to write formally to be fucking legible.
Edit: I found the post @Pepekyky capped

They then made a whole blog about it that either just started or was forgotten (not sure when it was made,) and a comic justifying bad writing:
The blog itself has characters as talking heads or something? idk, it's like middle school shit. Here's the best pic of each of them I could find.
Mary Sues are a relic, yes, but they still exist. There's one huge fic I'm reading right now that has one.Isn't the whole "Mary Sue" thing kind of outdated at this point? It was so much bigger in the early-mid 2010s.

Oh lol, I meant the whole crusade against/for Mary Sues, not so much the concept of a Mary Sue itself. As long as tween and teenage girls want to marry their favorite fictional character or be magical warrior princesses, there will always be Mary Sues. They're a part of nature. But the whole "Fix your Mary Sue" blog and the super intense hatred of them is like...dying out slowly. It's kind of funny to see these kids ragging on a trend that's already well on its way out.Mary Sues are a relic, yes, but they still exist. There's one huge fic I'm reading right now that has one.
Mary Sues really became an endangered species since AO3 had more emphasis on same sex male pairings.
Reader x canon character has become more popular and while most don't like them I've grown to enjoy them.
I hate it when people drag their modern Earth-centric problems into a setting that probably doesn't give shit because they don't even have (and never will have) germ theory. Who cares, it's an Omen baby, they all get cut and put in the fucking pits, anyway. And of course someone who likes Mohg would be into drawing/writing about fucked up baby genitalsBut this author explicitly writes that the baby, which is an Omen baby (of which Mohg and Morgott belong) has a vulva and not a penis. She wanted to pull the intersex card so bad.
Isn't he actually buff though, like Smough, whose fatness is just the armour?Elden Ring very few characters are fat bar the one Godskin Noble
Are those two supposed to be racebent Zach and Cloud? It's a dead giveaway the huge buff black guy is not Barrett since he still has both arms intact. And what is their deal with making all buff men with huge manbitch tits?
I found this picture, but overall the artists portfolio of Zack and Cloud is so horrendous that I can't say if they are trans ftm ot mtfAre those two supposed to be racebent Zach and Cloud? Correct, that discourse is dead. The trend today that I've seen become increasingly common is adding trans or non binary characters where they don't fit. It's often Aidens projecting themselves into the work.Oh lol, I meant the whole crusade against/for Mary Sues, not so much the concept of a Mary Sue itself. I think the Godskin noble is fat yet stretchy at the same time. Smough I believe is fit, as you have to be to carry that hammer around. I think it's also said his head is actually near his shoulders as there are eye sockets there.I hate it when people drag their modern Earth-centric problems into a setting that probably doesn't give shit because they don't even have (and never will have) germ theory.
