The character that's doing the top surgery, Dottore, is a crazy doctor character who experiments on and manipulates people to be his test subjects so this art is not too far off lolol

From his wiki:

The rise of neopronouns and xenogenders feels like the 2000’s scene craze, except worse because you’re considered a bigot if you don’t call someone vampself. You can tell it has become a trend because most of the people with those identities are fandom teens.

I've been wondering this myself, and I do agree. Anytime these people see a lack of themselves or whatever representation they desire, they head cannon it in their own twisted minds. Seems narcissistic to me.

Its why anytime I see a dark skinned anime character or darker skinned character from any animated medium in general, I am no longer confused as to why people on Tumblr, Twitter or similar websites are proclaiming that the character must be "black". When in reality, aside from a dark skin tone, there is no indication that the character(s) is from Africa or the ghetto or of African American descent. Often times, its from works of fiction where real world countries, ethnicites or ideas of sexuality do not exist or are not explicitly mentioned. So people decide that "blackness" or "queerness" or what not must be inserted.

It's even funnier when you know that sea animals like Clownfishes can change their gender in order to reproduce, but they still choose Seahorses for this book. Seahorses and their very close relatives are the only male animals who can get pregnant without changing anything with their bodies. It's really easier to find animals who have less in common, but can change their gender.
