People on tumblr are dead set on making everyone think dark skinned people are ugly as hell. I'm starting to get the feeling that these artists must actually be secret Russian agents sent there to covertly make us all racist by associating black people with these horrible drawings!

...jk but seriously, the last thing I think any time I see someone make a character darker-skinned is "wow, that looks so much better!" Not because the dark skin would even make the design worse but because they're so bad at drawing it and matching colors.

the original at least has a color scheme that is pleasant to the eyes.

One thing thing that makes me sad is that of course there are really dark skinned people out there, but it just doesn't work if the lineart is black and all the features are meant to be showing up on a light character. If you want to make someone really dark you can't just recolor the colors, you gotta make sure the features actually show up. Most of these characters are just black blobs with no features. Or yknow... just make new characters instead of ruining other people's hard work....

I understand with tumblr wanna make dark skinned characters can be sought as much as lighter skinned counterparts,but from what I saw so far they NEVER tried to actually making them desirable/good looking

I can show some dark-skinned characters for example,Granblue Fantasy cuz that game is what close to me and there are many good looking,both male or female I mean hey,this is one of way to make your POC/dark skinned characters 'represented' (although GBF itself consist of couple of races)

I guess it's because the FNAF characters are more sympathetic in the lore, as they're possessed by children who got killed by a serial child killer who's supposed to be the real villain. And the serial killer was a security guard therefore police therefore black animatronics = some BLM shit?

I understand with tumblr wanna make dark skinned characters can be sought as much as lighter skinned counterparts,but from what I saw so far they NEVER tried to actually making them desirable/good looking

I can show some dark-skinned characters for example,Granblue Fantasy cuz that game is what close to me and there are many good looking,both male or female I mean hey,this is one of way to make your POC/dark skinned characters 'represented' (although GBF itself consist of couple of races)

They'll say something like "these characters are not black enough" "too sexualized (but only gurls) " or some shit like that. Because they're never happy and they hate pretty persons/characters. It reminds them that they are not so beautiful.

well, these things that appeared to be bite marks in the original piece. i didn't wanted to change much, but here i go again. i'm weird.
