Looking at these "redesigns", Tumblr has now made me realize that there's actually two ways to redesign an character.

The first artist at least didn't color her art sloppily, but the artist of the Vocaloid piece just sloppily "shadowed" 45% of the coloring.

that's what bugs me about SJWs and the like
if someone isn't a walking stereotype it doesn't register to them, like some super autism or something
they expect all gay men to be girly and camp, and lesbians to be butch and wear lumberjack clothes
they expect blacks to have big lips and eat fried chicken, and asians to be literally yellow and tiny eyed
it's why they expect all whites to be racist and all straights to hate gays, it's part of the stereotypes

That Lapis design with the yellow gloves? That's the probably the worst redesign I've seen this month. How can a person make a two-color color scheme ugly? She's drawn like a joke Pixar character from the Incredibles or something. It's like they forgot they were redesigning an existing character, I mean does that expression and that body say 'SU Lapis Lazuli' to anyone who's seen the show? And of course they would make her ugly, she's the most conventionally pretty character for not being inhumanely skinny, really short and chunky, and not having thunder thighs or a triangle for a head.

Aside from the pig nose and lard face, the jaundice eyes is what get me.

To be fair, it's a villain character who disguised himself as Sailor Moon, and he has yellow sclera

Honestly it does. The fact that Vasquez, and even, Andrew Hussie (of Homestuck fame) hate their cancerous fandoms warms my heart because it means that no matter how much these little shits scream and cry and kiss ass, they'll never have validation they so desperately seek from the creators (as compared to, say, the pandering that is done to the Steven Universe fandom).

Perhaps so long as misanthropy like that exists, there may still be hope for fandom after all.

The artist didn't get that many reblogs posting it originally, so of course she had to make another post asking if anyone liked it. Someone replied they thought Lapis looked like a construction worker, as if it were a compliment. I don't know why a gem from outer space who normally wears a dress should look like a construction worker.

Also it says a lot in the comment the artist left below the second picture. "She looked too thin and fem to be as strong as she was!" This is feminism now you guys.
