Wasn't Lex black (or at least implied-black) in the animated version years back? I remember being kind of surprised by that because he was white in Lois and Clark, but I've never read the comics, so I wasn't sure what he was "supposed" to look like- I just assumed that they made him black to add diversity or something. :x

And the irony of them drawing insensitive caricatures while decrying others of doing the same will forever more be lost to them,
Because good god is that Utena hideous. And why is no one commenting on those lips? The look puffy and infected. And those eyes make her look both possessed and disinterested at the same time.
As an aside, I never got why SJWs decide to color in the fingernails in a different color than the skin. And I don't mean every now and again, but all the time. Even on the males. Is that just a fetish like race-bending and obesity to them?

Also, have you noticed that almost nobody racebends the villains? Black-Jetta from the Jem and the Holograms comic was supposed to be black in the cartoons. I know there was white-Baxter Stockman from the original TMNT cartoon.
It had to do with the companies being afraid of being seen as racist if they kept the original skin colors. I guess because Splinter was originally Asian and the turtles were never human, they could keep Shredder's race the same.
Oddly, you never see any SJWs or Tumblertots do racebends of Draco, any Disney villain or video game bad guy.

If you're talking about theDraco from HP, they make it very clear in the books that he's supposed to be pale to the point where he's borderline albino. And most Disney villains are already either a "POC" like Jafar or have a skin color that is completely unnatural like Maleficent which means the only change they could do would be making them white which they can't stand, and the Disney Villains that are white are usually total pieces of shit which suits their prejudiced world view.

After I found out that Meredith McClaren was going to be taking over for art duties for the Jem and the Holograms comic, I went to check her work out. Of course she likes to do female superhero redesigns and you realize this woman has a bit of a breast-phobia. Her women are either flat or a-cups and their figures are kept hidden unless they're Sailor Moon characters or have rather muscular figures. Of course, the artist loves to draw shirtless, sexy and sometimes nude men. When you think out it, these kind of artists in the game, tabletop and comic industries treat breasts and curves as if they are shameful secrets that must be kept hidden. (Especially the later of the two.) Almost like a fundamentalist religion.
What is it with these redesigns that they always seem so...hipsterishly bland? It's always women wearing baggy clothes that I'd find on a shop over an extravagant otherworldly costume.
Like, Big Barda in the old comics has a great design- this big, powerful, armored majestic woman. Here it just looks like she's channeling Joss Whedon's Scarlet Witch.
My guess is that they're just so focused on eliminating any traits that could be considered sexual/feminine that they forget about the fact that a character's design should say something about their... well, character.

Is she like Michelangelo in that she has no idea how to draw the female body? Only in this case, instead of drawing what amounts to oranges glued to beefy pectorals, she draws everyone as the high school wrestling team smuggling the occasional orange in their uniforms.

I quite like the first picture on its own merits (besides it being a shitty redesign of course) but the rest just look like a race of weird aliens with short Neanderthal foreheads and big, too far apart eyes.
EDIT (with content!): This is supposed to be Scooby Doo:
I mean a few of them are recognizable... but if it weren't for the dog I honestly wouldn't have guessed.

Isn't Fred supposed to be this pretty white guy too? Like, one of his traits was that he was the "handsome guy" (then again, philosophising about frikken Scooby Doo characters is probably stupid by default.)
I could accept Daphne as a black lady, if she was at least fashionable, because she was the "pretty girl" of the group. And Shaggy should look way more lanky... I mean, sheesh, these characters had, even though really bland, their personallity traits set.
It seems that they only really kept Velma the same. Probs because she was the "chubby nerd" and that is all tumblr wants to see.
