Should we be able to reply to dumb threads? - Spergatory needs love too.

I understand moving dumb threads to Spergatory but sometimes there’s more fun to be had. Could they not be kept open for replies but just moved to Spergatory and stopped from showing up in new content and/or for those not logged in?
