OP, the whole point is that these people present some kind of self-destructive behavior in some way, shape or form that's undeniably and objectively entertaining, mankind is inherently drawn to drama, and there's nothing wrong with that. However, its even worse when the individual in question is an actual degenerate, some kind of societal freak or some kind of disingenuous and dangerous fuck who likes to take advantage of people, of the internet, and pollutes its echo-system with whatever bullshit they decide to dwell themselves into. That's why we see so many stupid youtube channels that every week find a new "lolcow" and they're also the same shit: "this guy is a creep, a pdfile and he say slurs online". For me (as bad as it may sound) the "appeal"/mod for the ones I've worked on (links in my About section) is either the absurdity of the situations they get into (ex. Bryce Aaron Zimmer blaming the friend of the 15-year-old he groomed for getting him addicted to meth) or how much worse it can get (SplatSource's first drama being a grooming scandal -> SplatSource's biggest drama being a group ERP/porn sharing Discord with a few big SplatSource names (and minors) in it)
