A coworker of mine brought up this question and his answer to it was sensible in my opinion. He said that he thinks married people should have separate bedrooms because people need their personal space. Personally, I think couples should share a bedroom because it shows that you love each other or something. Having a separate bedroom seems kind of selfish too. Where are the kids or guest going to sleep?

In the past, rich people like the ruling class did live in separate chambers. The common people who were poor slept together. With their children in the same place.

Never forget that Naruto and Hinata sleep in different bedrooms. Naruto is endlessly mocked as a cuckold for it. Don't be Naruto.

How is that amusing? She's from the last elite clan of Konoha that's been a part of the village from the beginning. Naruto is the president of ninja town. Sleeping separately isn't crazy. It does kind of contrast with his supposed modernisation reforms, though.

Marriage is suppose to indicate you people love and support each other. Its fine to have your own hobbies and spaces dedicated to personal things but the bedroom should be where you two come together to spend chill time with.

But I guess things have become so fucked up that people cant stand each other anymore for too long so idk.

This is going to vary based on the couple; neither practice is always healthy nor always unhealthy.

If someone's a wiggler and/or someone's a light sleeper, or there's a shift difference, it makes sense to have separate rooms, if both people agree to it. If it's temporary like a bad cold or a week of having to get up early, that's when you use a couch or a guest room.

If this is all because of snoring, the snorer needs to get checked out for sleep apnea, though. That's not just eccentric; that could be cruising for a heart attack.
