should I try to sleep until 8am

Yes, try by not sleeping for as long as possible, then go to sleep even later everyday until your biological clock goes back to a "regular" time
 
I only sleep for like 5 hours at the most. What happens is I get up really early and end up getting tired later on and needing naps. It's why I tend to stay up a later.

I did answer your question. I have my own problems. I can't possibly help you with yours.
