Make sure to check your gas first to insure it's effective. It should have a pungent mustard odor, that's why it's called that.

Skunks are useful to have around. They eat ground bees and act as prey for other animals. Keeping predators fed means they're less likely to break into your pens. Leave stinky buddy alone. ETA- Congrats on having what appears to be the first Q&A tier thread on the SS board.

Skunks are functionally harmless, just dont approach them. They eat bugs and mice and shit like that.

Personally I would leave them alone unless they decided to nest in your shed or under your porch.
