Should I drop Dark Souls?

I got to Blight Town, wandered around a bit, and just kind of got bored. I don't even really like it. I like the boss fights, and pretty much nothing else. Everything just feels like a slog to get to the bosses to me. My friends all love it though. Am I missing something? Does it get better later? I have a feeling the series just isn't for me and I should save time by dropping it instead of hoping things change.

Blighttowns is the worst parts of the game so know it's only up afterwards. If you genuinely haven't enjoyed the lead up to it though yeah it just might not be for you. I like souls games for their intricate world and finding how short cuts that interconnect areas. The combat is methodically and sometimes sloggy but some of that comes down to build. If you've got a ps4 bloodborne is a good bit faster.
