I'm complete shit at computer stuff like this so I'm just going to hang back and enjoy the show. And normally I'm adamantly opposed to things like doxxing and looking up private information, but considering that these people are stupid and immoral enough to commit crimes and then post about those crimes on fucking Tumblr, they really deserve what's coming to them.

thing is the rcmp dont accept reports via email and when i called the local station they directed me to crimestoppers which is likely too generic. Any thoughts?

Not all jpeg images have it. There are some cameras that log more info than others and if the person isn't an idiot then they can strip it off before uploading.

This reminds me of the Edgar Allen Poe story where the guy murders his wife, but is so proud of how he got away with it, that he ended up showing the cops. These tumblrinas are so proud of the stuff they stole, they feel the need to tell everyone about how cool they are that they did something like this. I really feel like they're doing this for the attention first, and the stuff second.
 
Right, I am in for making my very own Tumblr, call it something like "anti-shoplift-warrior", get EXIF info, and if I can't find GPS info, just reblog it and state all the info I do know, and bluffing I know their address and will report them if they continue. Lets see how many BALEETED posts we can get.
