I guess someone saw the Annabelle movies or heard of the dumb hoax and decided there was a market for that (unfortunately there probably is).
I never knew they were big on etsy too but ebay is rife with 'haunted' objects. You get people who put massive textwalls talking about the stories behind the 'spirits trapped in the vessels'. It's anything from dolls to rings to dibbuk boxes to a million other things.

As much as I worry about the sanity of the person who makes these, they are hilarious, in a dark, disturbing way. Several these made me laugh out loud. So I can't knock them. I do wonder how much this person can possibly be making on Etsy. There can't be many buyers for this sort of thing. I'd say this person would be a better fit for an art exhibit. Indeed, federal funding for the arts has gone to much shittier products. Sadly the current art scene is too busy hiring ex-pornstar daughters of investor daddies who pulled strings to get them jobs, letting Jay Z do exhibits, pretending most performance art has any worth, and generally being worthless, pretentious, nepotistic fucks to actually support any true mad artistic geniuses.This one does the s&m rats

I'm mad that this one is actually competent. It actually passes for art. I don't know if this was a fetish piece or just meant to be funny but whatever the backstory behind this is the fact that it's made out of dead rats should make it automatically ineligible for praise, and yet, here we are. It's quality. What the fuck.
