I foresee a lot of bag holders in this thread in denial, a la the same people holding onto AMC and GME.

We're on the cusp of pretty much the mother of all alt seasons - maybe even the last big one before we start to see serious adoption. Once Bitcoin hits 100k and begins dominating the news cycle, millions of boomers are going to start FOMOing into crypto trying to find the "next Bitcoin" on Coinbase. They're going to see that they can buy SHIB for fractions of a cent and tell themselves "if SHIB goes to $1 I will be a multi-millionaire". This is obviously impossible but its safe to expect that any top 20 coin is going to go parabolic.

I think you're very optimistic when it comes to boomer interactions with crypto beyond what the TV and their favorite talking heads tell them to buy. Especially considering the amount of them that suffered during the DOGE shitshow. I could be wrong though.

Unless you bought SHIB >6 months ago I don't think it'll make you rich on its own

I was using boomers colloquially but the vast, vast majority of Americans are not in cryptocurrency.

Nearly half of millennials (49 percent) are at least somewhat comfortable with investing in crypto assets such as Bitcoin, compared to 37 percent of Generation X and only 22 percent of baby boomers. Millennials (ages 25-40) express the most comfort of all age groups with cryptocurrency. About 15 percent say they are “very comfortable” investing in digital currencies, compared to just 7 percent of Generation X (ages 41-56) and 4 percent of baby boomers (ages 57-75).

- Bankrate survey, May 25-30, 2021

People are going to be looking for inflation hedges like crazy once the normies finally wake up and start to realize what has been happening for the past year. Remember, cryptocurrency's marketcap only just hit 2 trillion dollars five months ago. It's at 2.87 trillion dollars right now just 150 days later and it isn't stopping. There is an explosive - and I mean explosive - parabolic run coming. Everyone in the industry is prepping for it.

Might try throwing some money into Dogelon Mars (gambling money, not serious investment - only what you're willing to lose). I've heard interesting rumors about an upcoming marketing push.
I want to gamble on dogelon, but the gas fees I'm seeing are awful. I only want to gamble like $50 and not pay twice that on fees.

This is why I've been buying anything on coinbase with a small cap and a small circulating supply, such as $AUCTION. Of course, the fallacious thinking you mention about a low unit cost meaning more upside could be an issue.

Oh no no no Shibarmy, the troop morale is plummeting!

Took back my initial investment long ago, so it's all free money from this point on. Probably going to buy more once it reaches the new floor
