Don't you love it when corporations embrace a joke that's two decades old to peddle some third-rate garbage in your face to make a quick buck?

I can't wait for Slowpoke 2019: The Motion Picture, or N.E.D.M the Game.
 
Another fucking ironic return of a franchise? Wasn't Bubsy enough? Also wow, that game looks like it came straight from Xbox Live. I really hope people don't buy this just because "le ironic silly funny game for me to stream"
 
I actually liked Shaq fu because it was the first fighting game I'd ever played so I didn't know any better.

I don't think the Bubsy return was done for the sake of irony...

I'd feel bad for the Bubsy devs if Bubsy wasn't an obnoxious franchise and also if Bubsy actually had any devs to feel bad for, since literally (that's the real "literally") every company that has ever touched Bubsy has gone bankrupt.

On topic of this game, it looks really underwhelming. Like one of those joke games such as Goat Simulator that you play for a few hours for the novelty then immediately forget. The gameplay from the trailer looks really slow and 3D fighting games/beat 'em ups without a lock on system are rare for a reason. This is also going to be compared to other 3D beat 'em ups like Bayonetta or Furi, which...

The Bubsy game was surprisingly not really bad, just mediocre, but being mediocre is somehow even worse that being bad. If the game is completely mediocre then nobody is going to want to play it based on it's actual merit AND nobody is going to want to play it based on ironic "haha this game is shit" way. Look at Mighty No 9 for example. They didn't even port the fucking game to other consoles like they promised to!
But really, the new Bubsy game actually had pretty fun mechanics and obstacles. If they polished it up A LOT, then the sequel could actually be a great platformer game.

Bubsy being mediocre means it's a perfect adaptation of that series, tbh.
 
Where's Nezu, the boy kidnapped at the start of the original? Did Beast work out as a basketball player? I fear the lore might not be fully respected
 
Looks like the kind of thing you wait for a 75% steam sale for or something.

It's not like I hate when this sort of thing happens, but every time it does I just wish it's for a dead series or game I actually like.
