There is a neat phenomenon where a lot of people think the rapping genie movie had Sinbad in it and was called Shazam. Instead of it being shaq and called kazaam.

Maybe they have only ever flown from the West Coast over the Pacific to China, and never over the Atlantic, stopover in Europe, and to China from the western approach. So far as their geographic knowledge and experience of the earth is concerned, the world map doesn't "wrap around" so to speak
 
It's a shame that the whole flat Earth thing is getting so noisy now. I guess it can't really hurt anything as long as the flat earth morons don't start aiming for big positions in science. Are there any prominent flat earthers in science? Like legit respected ones? Not "I took a geography 101 at community college so I'm an expert with a mail in degree from the back of a magazine" types.

Flat Earth videos are all over Youtube. If you check the Nasa livestreams where they show the Earth from the ISS you'll see the chat is full of legit crazy. If they are really that gung ho, why not start a crowd fund to pay for one of them to take one of those low Earth orbit trips and see for themselves?
