Why the hell would ANYONE want to attend a conference on consent outside of a work-mandated sexual harassement awareness presentation. And from a bunch of unqualified clowns like them?

So they can virtue signal.

Also, if this con does happen (which I doubt), we need cameras there. Because this has potential to be a prime location for Vic to get publicly defamed and a great source of intel for rounds 2 and 3.

I think they should require that all men, who wish to attend the convention, be required to attend the consent booth to have a 5 minute lecture before being allowed to go further into the con. I am sure good male feminist wishing to attend will understand.

And also, I imagine them getting Allen Combat for security, which i'm sure will work out well for them.
 
I could possibly attend this con, but man it sounds so fucking lame and I don't wanna give Shane my money for disappointing camera footage.

@notabug Apologies are in order. I assumed that Shame was having the con in a couple weeks. Me so stupid. Does Shame really think that in 10 months the KickVic tards will still be focused on this cause?
I wouldn't want to see anyone interfere with this con the way KickVic tards try to cancel things that Vic is attending, mainly because I want to see how absolutely flaccid any event organized by Shame will be. I'll take that autistic rating now.

I dunno, I'm thinking the interest in "nofunconsentcon" likely tops out at most in the low 3 figures. Unless maybe he stages it in Austin? My gut says most of the attendees will at best be "volunteers", and the only vendors will be local comic shops. No real vendors are going to be anxious to spend money going to a con that is predicated on the ability to police their merchandise for how offensive it might be to any one snowflakes feelings. I mean you've seen what anime figurines mostly look like, right?

A-Kon has traditionally been the week after Memorial Day weekend, but the new owners held it at the end of June this year. I don't know if they've announced dates for 2020, but odds are it'll probably be sometime in June.

Honestly, given the population of Dallas/Fort Worth, they may well get more than 1000 people. A-Kon gets something like 35,000 people; I think 3-5% of that could be feasible. They'll see "anime con" and attend because it's relatively easy to go.

Edit: Oops, didn't look closely. This isn't even an anime con, is it? Nevermind, then.

I don’t understand the jokes in this thread that take shoecon’s policies at face value. Shane talking about consent is the height of hypocrisy, and joking that this con will be too chaste is allowing him to control the narrative.

Agreed. I suspect something's gonna happen that isn't very feminist but gets swept under the rug or blamed on nazi vic stans. That and when nobody shows up for Fyre Dash Constival there's gonna be articles blaming it on misogyny in drumpf's america and dredging up gamergate's corpse again.
