The English speaking world, not just America, is the audience for anime dubs which have been voiced in the US. Plenty of kick Vic people also live outside the US.

A lot of people have acknowledged that this is less about anime for them than it is about trial by social media. A lot of supporters on both sides care less about the anime industry than they do about either increasing the power of social media mobs (in the case of kick Vic supporters) or opposing that power (in the case of Vic supporters).

Only one lot of supporters, though, are backing their beliefs with money.

I think it's pretty safe to assume that English-dubbed anime has a vastly larger number of international fans than Rekieta Law's YouTube channel has. And most of Nick's international views are probably anime fans who found him through his coverage of this exact subject. Shane is a fucking idiot as usual.
