So I saw this (archive) on Shane's timeline and after looking through this thread and the main weeb wars thread I couldn't find anyone talking about it.

Nicky boy says that Shane's lying and I can buy that. My question is...why though? Why would Shane lie about this? I mean I know it's Shame, the man born and some how survived without a brain stem, but it makes no sense.

Maybe I'm a big dummy but assuming this is supposed to be real I'm only seeing this sent to one person, that being Jim Bullock. Was Shane or Ron somehow BCC'd on? Is this all part of the filing and it got to Ron and he forwarded it to Shane? What is the explanation of how Shane got it to post it? Were we supposed to just accept it and #KicVic?

I've said it before but I'd like to reiterate my concern of is this real life? Is this really happening?


EDIT: Literally as soon as I hit Post Reply, Nicky tweets out that it's a submission error that was fixed the next day. So I guess the answer is that Shame thought that this was some sort of gotcha against The Beard.

It’s an automatic kickback to correct a beaurucratic field in an electronic filing. Please correct the field and hit send. Not exactly earth shattering. If you’ve ever dealt with any government electronic filing or reporting system this sort of thing is a constant headache. Texas has got to be horrible, because each county or jurisdiction has their own unique system. Try paying your business or property taxes online and you run into the same thing.

but everything the state does is perfect, so obviously Ty must be an idiot who can't fill in a simple form!

The meeting point of Lawyers, Government and Modern Technology is generally a very abrasive surface. Lawyers general solution to problem solving is to argue with the problem. This doesn’t work well with technology, and generally works worse with IT support staff. (Which is why IT charges more, way more, for Lawyers systems.) About the only group substantially worse with technology than Lawyers are Medical Doctors. Who are generally incapable of following instructions. (Following instructions is what underlings are for! Doctors are for giving instructions and will not countenance any changes to this arrangement! As you might guess they get their prices doubled as well.)
 
"Let" Shane? Are you the person who gets to decide when information from Monica and Vic's side gets released?

It's also not "ahead of time". The case is in discovery now. There's no requirement that information not be released until depositions have been taken. In fact, if you want "everything" to be released, it would be best to do it before the motions hearing on 31 May because it's possible bordering on likely that the judge will grant a protection order at that hearing which will limit what can be made public.
