Con runners referring to Jamie and Monica as "the victims" is utterly meaningless unless they're willing to provide evidence in court that they're basing that on something other than accusations. If there are contemporaneous records of Jamie and Monica complaining to con owners at the time incidents involving themselves and Vic occurred at those cons, then they should be giving them to Casey. I expect a lot of what con owners "know" will be based on heresay, though.

It's not defamatory. I think he's trying to imply that it's privileged or something (privilege doesn't mean what Shane thinks it means).

Speaking of the text messages, though, unless Monica is willing to say that Ron acted with her full knowledge and approval (which would be an utterly stupid thing to say and she will surely be asked the question), then her interests and Ron's are starting to conflict. I wonder how Casey intends to handle that.

It's pretty obvious KC gave out the information. It's not like there was some Guccifer hack or some bullshit. The people harassed by these kickvic idiots obviously weren't happy about it and that's why all these people are spilling to Nick, to Ty, to Anime Outsiders (maybe) and anyone else who will make it public.

These dumb motherfuckers pissed off a lot of people with their shitty bullying antics and now they're going to pay the price, in the court of public opinion, and not shitty Twitter idiot public opinion but actual normal people, and real court.

As for "defaming the defendants" (which statements would be defamatory, boot-chewer), I hope you realise that BHBH can say a shitload of things about the defendants and it will be privileged - so just as Casey used his answer to muckrake, BHBH is allowed to do that as well. Ron and Monica should have considered the implications of that strategy before approving it.
