I read it more as Nick shitposting rather than going off any real intel. It's likely to get the person riled up either whether they are Shane, or whether they're not, and the whole goal is just to dunk on them.

But who knows, Nick might have heard from someone, or he might have a hunch.

To be fair, I can't imagine what would be more frustrating then trying to White Knight and Virtue Signal all over the place and offer the fair, distressed maidens your Six Figure PI, and you keep getting called a shoe eater for your troubles.

I've just never seen Nick specifically call out an account and say it was someone else before. It was rather curious.

Yeah I was thinking along those lines too but from what I searched using his name they all accused him of rape so was just wondering if someone knows if it was legit rape and he somehow got 10 years probation of was something else entirely.

Who is "they all"? If you link this shit we have people with access to databases where more specific info can be found.

That seems to be at least part of his goals. It's the ultimate "Notice Me Senpai!!!" cry. Being dragged into the official filings means he is in fact "somebody important in the industry!" That he must be paid attention to. Somehow being dragged into all of this would validate his self delusions and stroke his ego. And yes, if that strikes you as more than a bit Sociopathic, that's pretty much what we are looking at here. The worlds worst most incompetent sociopath.

By Tuesday, Shane was desperate for attention. And by Wednesday, Shane was bragging about having secret info again, so I presume Ron's steely resolve lasted nearly 24 hours this time.

I think that's the convention scene in general. Lots of smelly, unkept people who have yet to discover the miracle of hot, indoor running water (and that other pleasant-smelling substance known as soap), standing in line for hours to meet other people who voice-act their favorite fictional character, or gawk and weeb out at their peers dressed like them. The sole one I attended in my life (Sakuracon) was no different, thought it was neat to meet the Japanese creators, who were just normal people who happen to animate as a job.
