His little act of showmanship is going to get a number of one issue voters on his side. Moore has always had a sizeable fan base in Alabama.

However he does have detractors including among the legal profession. I know one former lawyer who was voting for Strange because they couldn't stand Moore. Would have to ask if they ever ran into him or what they had heard about him that wasn't told by the newspapers. But Judges like Moore are pretty rare even in the Bible Belt regions.

You never ever come across a courtroom that brings out a Bible for someone to swear on unless the person on the stand requested it before hand. I think no lawyer I know who have been doing cases for over 50 years has ever seen someone swear on a Bible. It just doesn't happen outside of tv shows and movies written by liberal hollywood or new york elitists.

He just defeated the incumbent Republican senator in a primary. Now Alabama will either get this wingnut or their first Democrat senator in the last 25 years. And yes, his rabidly conservative Christian views make GWBush look like a hemp-smoking flower child.

Well, this bodes ill for Trump's ability to campaign for Republican incumbents.

Word is that Doug Jones will lose. The actions of democrats have angered a lot of the conservatives in Alabama. Remember football is life to a lot of southerners and seeing players act like Kopernic is considered treason. If Alabama or Auburn players did that well lets say they would disappear.

How well did Obama campaign for Democrats? LOL, yeah... It didn't help here that the establishment backed Strange while Steve Bannon endorsed Moore.

Tonight made me really, really glad that I didn't waste my time and volunteer for Luther Strange.

Anyway, Moore is more extreme than Todd Akin (he of "legitimate rape" fame from 2012), but it won't matter. There are tons of Alabama Republicans--myself included--who despise him, but it won't matter. Doug Jones (the Democratic nominee) is the best statewide candidate that Democrats have had in decades, but it won't matter, even if Democrats try to pull an Ossoff and throw money at him, which they won't.

It will likely be much closer than other races have been in Alabama, but Moore is like 99% guaranteed to win. I would be extremely surprised if that changes.

Also, this was the second time he pulled a gun out during an event this month. He took his wife's gun out of her purse and waved it at the crowd a week or two ago.

Edit: Also, don't listen to the pundits who are saying anything about a win for Bannon, this being a major loss for Trump, etc. Moore's hardcore base (those who supported him in the 2006 and 2010 gubernatorial races, etc) turned out, and people saw Strange as the establishment candidate, especially because Mitch McConnell and the Senate Leadership Fund were behind him, not to mention the fact that Strange was appointed seven months ago by then-Governor Robert "Geriatric Sex Scandal" Bentley.

Moore will be fine its fucking Alabama. What I'm worried about is 2018, cause I am getting some serious 2010/2012 flashbacks right now. Bannon has been very open about this being a preview of his plans for next year. Bannon/Alt Right candidates in Alabama is one thing...Bannon/Alt Right candidates in Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania or Virginia? Thats a recipe for another Ken Buck. Another Todd Akin. Another Richard Mourdock. Another Christine O'Donnell. There is a very good reason McConnell cracked down so hard on insurgents after 2012.

It will absolutely encourage those types of candidates to take a look at 2018, although it's not necessarily the best indicator as to how the year is going to go. Strange was not an entrenched incumbent, and there were a lot of other factors present that won't likely be in any races next year. Furthermore, each race will have its own dynamics. Open GOP seats--such as Tennessee--are my biggest concern; hopefully, not many more incumbents will retire (although I'm all for Orrin Hatch calling it quits, as much as I like him, if it means we get Mitt Romney in the Senate).

It would take divine intervention even with a full crop of Bannon candidates for the GOP to lose the majority. So no worries there. My concern as I pointed out with that little list of States is that Bannon/Alt Right candidates could/would fumble in their bids to unseat incumbent Democrats. As the ObamaCare debacle has proved the GOP needs to enlarge its majority to get things done. I live in Wisconsin and I can tell you with absolute certainty that a Bannon/Alt Right candidate would fail against Tammy Baldwin. But like you said. We'll see.

North American Arms revolver.

Doesn't look to be a mini revolver though.

It looks like like a two or three inch barrel.

looks like a S&W model 60 or 60-1. square butt and 2" barrel with a partial lug and no ejector shroud means it's likely from the 1980's since S&W put the Model 60 in the K frame back then. the J-frame, for the .357 Magnum requires a wider frame gap for the forcing cone spalling protection than the .38 Special's small gap. this is a safety measure and isn't the same as the cylinder gap.

imagine this with a boot cut rubber grip:

they introduced the full shroud on the ejector in the late 80's or early 90's, and after the NYPD bought a bunch and .357 mag was getting popular for hold out pieces, along with the success of the Ladysmith, they put the Model 60 in a J-frame around the mid 90's.

i would bet it's a model 60-2 as those were really popular as carry pieces in the 80's.

Didn't his dad ever tell him you never pull a gun unless you plan on using it?

It'd be funny if this inbred dipshit accidentally shot one of his own supporters or did an accidental Budd Dwyer.
