I would pet a porcupine for a new Sega console.
That said I think now would be a bad time to have a go at it, if ever.

Why are so many people ( namely in the YouTube comment section ) hating on VF 6 ? The game isn't even out yet and it already looks 10 times better than Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8 .

Some people just want to hate for the sake of being contrarian edge lords... whatever if you hate this trailer so much then go ahead and keep playing your over hyped fireball and eye laser spamming shovel ware games instead.
Probably some of it is Tekken players tired of hearing about VF, some is Tekken refugees expecting Tekken. Might also be some VF purists feeling the cinematic shots is VF following in other FGs missteps.
Personally I'm not getting hype because we still don't know when its coming out. I predict a next-gen launch title at this point, which is years off. I appreciate the openness at least though.
Almost all of the best games ever made were at one point console exclusives, why do you think that is ?

Exclusivety , closed ecosystems, and unique hardware specs breed creativity. In contrast the PC open market creates a million shovelware indie games every year that are forgotten a day after release.
While there is some of that (Sonic Adventure is apparently best on the dreamcast), the genie's out of the bottle. PC is a large market, and while shirking that would make hardcore fans happier, it would also be rejecting a huge portion of the market for essentially artistic gains. Besides, unique hardware would be begging to compete with Nintendo, which is probably not what they want to do.

The teaser wasn't that good either. Very generic fighting sequences without even some music or a nice backdrop. This is not how you generate hype.

The trailer literally said "combat gameplay first look" . It's not supposed to have music or voices yet, it was just a teaser to get people hyped for the revamped combat mechanics (and the amazing new graphics, reminder this is just an alpha build ) .

Remember to appreciate the SG-1000

So is the SEGAs Skies of Arcadia remaster talk true or not?
There's no real reason to think it's real. They renewed the trademark but that could just be for selling merch which they still do, or for cameos in other games like sonic racing or valkyria
there was also a rumor based on a "leaked screenshot" but that was just a HD texture mod PC players made
Almost all of the best games were made in better times, where developers still had creative freedom, people still had talent, and money was available (respectively publishers were much more generous with the funding). I personally do not think that exclusivity has a major impact on quality.
Exclusivity was one of the reasons money was available. Companies were willing to fund interesting games that might not make a profit because it still gave people a reason to get the system and they'd make up the money on other software sales from drawing people into their ecosystem. Now that they dont care about making exclusives they just want to make the most mass market AAA cinematic slop to aim for the biggest sales of the game itself. and you can see the effect, software sales on PS5 are catastrophically low

How does the House of the Dead 2 remake look worse than the original
The ragdolls look so bad

Holy shit, within the first 20 seconds you can see all the problems the switch version has
  • worse font in the chapter screen. Doesn't even animate (and if it does, barely at all)
  • Red devil on the switch side before the chapter screen just "floats", no up-down maneuver of flying
  • Camera movement is worse. Cutscenes suffer tremendously because of it
  • Red devil does nothing on the switch version. Wii version actually has it move its head as if its laughing.
  • white light in church window for no reason whatsoever.
  • Zombies are practically stationary during the cutscenes.
And this actually got out the fucking door with a stamp of approval!?!?

>4 mysterious games labeled "Coming Soon" on SEGA's TGS site
>"Oh, is this where they'll lift the lid on the remakes of JSR, Crazy Taxi, Golden Axe, etc.? Gives me something to point and laugh at, at least."
