But before you go getting too excited, it appears that the new game won't be a traditional follow-up, as many would hope. Instead, it is being developed in partnership with the Korean developer LINE NEXT as part of its NFT ecosystem. So, in other words, expect a bunch of Web3 nonsense that almost nobody wanted.
That's So SEGA. *sigh*

Don't be disappointed. Eventually the companies will exhume and rape every last dead brand back into the ground they dug them out of. Every game or franchise you loved will have their festering corpse paraded around for the masses to coom themselves with hype as they excitedly tap open their constantly-monitored digital wallet, shit out endless clickbait videos, and use as streamer fodder for 5 minutes before the next one moves down the street. When the dust has settled and the streets are littered with jizzshat pants, empty vape pens, and trampled bodies as the crowd rushes back to their GameBox™ to pre-download pre-rent the pre-alpha and the day-one patch that will take up a NASA data center worth of storage and all of which will self-delete once the hype dies down, at least you can still play the original. That is, until it becomes a federal crime under penalty of death by firing squad to download a 30 year old game :)

Skies of Arcadia will remain unmolested, I hope.

Watch them announce a """""remaster"""" at TGS 2024 just to spite me.
