At this point, in current year +, I just assume all women in vidya are trannies unless otherwise specified. Is the character that looks like Lady Miss Kier from Deee-Lite a tranny?![]()

For anyone curious about the larger context(Space Station 5/Ulala, Kier etc)I think that might be a jab, GTA IV style:

I think the Dee Lites were in the right about SC5 kinda entirely lifting their shtick and adding extra space, but I'm not sure if it's exactly actionable. For anyone curious about the larger context(Space Station 5/Ulala, Kier etc)

Agree, the video even looks a fever dream Dreamcast commercial.I think the Dee Lites were in the right about SC5 kinda entirely lifting their shtick and adding extra space, but I'm not sure if it's exactly actionable.
also the parts of Space Channel 5 that look basically exactly like itAgree, the video even looks a fever dream Dreamcast commercial.
never played italso the parts of Space Channel 5 that look basically exactly like it
it's neat enough to go through a time or two if you like rhythm action games, Deee-Lite (and other retro future), or Michael Jacksonnever played it
It's just 70s aesthetic though?I think the Dee Lites were in the right about SC5 kinda entirely lifting their shtick and adding extra space, but I'm not sure if it's exactly actionable.
SEGA plans to make Space Channel 5 and Comix Zone film adaptations
Thanks to the success of Paramount and SEGA’s Sonic the Hedgehog movies, it was only a matter of time more cinematic deals were made for other SEGA franchises to make the jump to the screen. The Hollywood Reporter has announced that SEGA has entered into a partnership with Picturestart to develop film adaptations of the Dreamcast classic Space Channel 5 and the SEGA Genesis platformer Comix Zone.
Space Channel 5 is being written by Barry Battles and Nir Paniry. Battles wrote and directed the 2012 crime comedy The Baytown Outlaws which starred Billy Bob Thornton and Eva Longoria. Paniry wrote and directed the sci-fi drama Extracted. Comix Zone, meanwhile, will be written by Mae Catt, whose credits include writing on Young Justice and the How to Train Your Dragon spinoff Dragons: The Nine Realm. She also wrote for Netflix’s Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy.
Royce Reeves-Darby and Erik Feig are overseeing the projects and will produce alongside Samie Kim Falvey. SEGA’s Toru Nakahara, who is a producer for the Sonic movies and Sonic Prime, will produce the two adaptations. SEGA game director Takumi Yoshinaga will join the team for Channel 5 and SEGA game producer Kagasei Shimomura will join the team for Comix Zone.

Paging @Frank D'arbo. The best Genesis game ever made (in your eyes) is getting a movie.
