The USA is safer if we ban our own ability to use nuclear weapons and defend ourselves.

>Promising to bring the troops home in the first year
Oh shit, is it 2008 again?

These are the same people who always do "bipartisan" condemnations of President Trump and flip their shit any time he talks about getting troops out of South Korea, Germany, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, etc.

"We want to bring the troops home!"
{President actually says he wants to bring troops home}
"No, not like that! We will screech with bipartisan and furious autism over this1"

The Appalachian Mountains have the largest proven reserves of Uranium in the world. Virginia alone if opened to mining could fuel every nuclear power plant in the world right now for the next 1,000 years. Ignoring nuclear power is so fucking stupid.
But if we solve problems how can honest non-working people spend decades grifting the public? 🤔

Hate to say it, but history has generally shown that if you go into a place militarily, you have to be in there for a while to stabilise the area after military action. This pulling troops out only allows groups like IS to pop up, which means you end up having to send them back in again. Either stop being the police of the world, pull the troops and let them sort themselves out, or do it well, do it properly. If it means you have to put people in for 20 years and completely overhaul the system, that's what you have to do.

At least that's my view.

Taking nukes off the table puts US at risk you dingbat.

Obviously we don't want to use them but it should remain an option.

That would also help with Appalachia poverty.

Also is that why Oak Ridge and the Manhattan Project was where it was?

Edit: Oak Ridge not Oakland, was super dumb

Only got to pay attention to the last 30 minutes of the debate, and I have only heard:

1) Trump is bad
2) Nuclear weapons are really bad

Can't wait to watch the second debate in full

If ISIS was smart, they'd wait for one of these idiots to take over & pop off some sort of Civil Race/Gender War. America will be easy to beat by then

I spent the first half of my life in the Appalachians and never knew that. That's even having to take two years of West Virginia history. I figured it was just coal and moonshine.

Edit: Now that I think about it, our educational system is ranked pretty close to the bottom. That explains a lot.
