Get your life, Vic Stans.

BT, respectfully, kill yourself. You have no right complaining about how certain people get butthurt quickly, when you spend most of your pathetic time trashing Vic, whom you have a dangerously homosexual obsession with. It's obvious that Vic saying something on Unlocked is the only time your dick extends more than half an inch.

One, he isn’t a pedo you dumbass. Two, yeah Vic’s fans would go above and beyond for him. But you aspies wouldn’t drive 200 miles, no, not even 20 miles for Monica and Jamie.

These troglodytes didn’t even drive out for Renfatmous’s little get together, only getting two or three clowns who actually bothered attending.

Outside of the Twatter Sphere, Gossip Girl Rumor Mill, or Conslut Circut these stupid fucks are nothing more than a long thing of “Teeth-Clenched Teamwork” as evidenced by a loon like Jaw Jaw Binks, or Shame~ Say what you want about the ISWV speds, but at least they follow through with paying money to see Vic at the places that booked him there for money.

Monicunt and Blamey Harpy don’t have that, lol.

Why don't you eat some fried chicken and stop tweeting about this stuff Brian, you really don't understand anything about what's going on with Funimation.

The mob is fickle BT. You should know that. You should take note of that. One day it might turn against you...

"Appreciate what you have." Mother fucker, this is not basic necessities. Anime is a luxury. And some of us like watching Funimations fall on their faces.

Except for the fact that stores pay people to be there. Volunteers? Not so much.
Plus, the volunteers are replaceable. Ask Lynn Hunt. Ask Shane. Ask Stan Dahlin. Ask @EriMin. Ask @MagicalHopStep.
If the con owners can't see that these "volunteers" are using Weeb Wars as a power play to assert THEIR control over the convention, then they are in for a rude wake-up call. This faction potentially could wrest ownership of the convention away from the owners (see Faisal Ahmed), if they are appeased too much.
The owners need to show backbone and remind these "volunteers" that they are replaceable and if they do not comply, the owners will find someone else that is more skillful and more humble than them.

I've said this before, but volunteers being replaceable is NOT always the case. That's the issue. When Tekko was first starting out, for example, it was a small con, and during a time when anime was not wide-spread. There weren't a lot of people willing to sacrifice their weekend to work their butts off for no pay, as opposed to attending and enjoying the convention as a regular person. Not much incentive, either. And when it came to department heads, and especially tech staff and AMV people, those were even harder to replace. That's why Lynn was able to torment me for so long.

Another good example is the browser game Town of Salem. Devs made a game, didn't want to mod it, so they made some volunteer players staff of sorts. These volunteers largely abused their powers, and eventually, it got to a point where hundreds of paying players were getting unfairly suspended or banned, due to them changing the rules to push their preferred method of play. It took that many people complaining for the devs to finally tell them they had to stop, only for them to threaten to all walk and leave them to handle the game themselves if they tried to force them to. Devs backed down, and now ignore any non-technical reports.

Volunteers are easier to replace for bigger cons or corporations and the like, but not smaller ones. And some might simply decide it's not worth the trouble. That's another reason bullying like this tends to go unpunished. It's easier to get rid of one person, than a bunch of volunteers who would then need to be replaced. And the lack of payment just means that there's nothing really keeping those volunteers there. The higher-ups rely on them, not the other way around.

That is, in part, due to horrific planning and foresight.

I'll admit, we experienced similar however, burnt-once-twice-shy. It's about building the foundation to the convention first, and it usually means starting small and cultivating a community. Far too often I see conventions get stars in their eyes and think they can just throw money at guests and that thousands of people will volunteer for it. Not unless you're established.

You end up reaping what you sow when you capitulate to insanity. Yes, it's difficult to cut off people who have a tinge of the tism, but most often it's better to rip the bandage off before you need to amputate the limb.

Lynn is a very good example of such a thing, for us Walter "SID" was another example of that. My advice to any convention owners reading over this, if you get ANY "volunteers" that start acting above their station and you get that gut feeling, turf them. Don't question it, don't brush it off as something you can work around. Cut them out immediately. You'll thank yourself later.

Unfortunately, I fear there are some cons that won't have that option, or will simply be too afraid too. Even if you are willing, you might not be able to find new volunteers, let alone in enough time. Most con volunteers are locals, after all.

If you don't, the one piece of shit will start bringing in their cancerous shit friends, getting rid of anyone actually competent, and before long, your entire staff will be pure cancer and you will be headed for going broke. Those "free workers" can get pretty expensive.
