It's actually worse than that. Vic took the hits, kicked back, and got con invites back. By all accounts he's still providing great fan interactions wherever he goes. Even when ManJaw interfered with two different venues in NYC, he stealth booked a 3rd and had a huge line of fans show up.
Monica, on the other hand, did signings for free in a comic book shop with 4 other people and still couldn't out-draw Vic. And the whole KickVic campaign made it harder for a huge swath of weebs to take sexual harassment allegations seriously, after what's been revealed from their side.
Of the two, only one of them is on any kind of a hero's journey. The other is turning into a 3rd season overstayed-welcome nuisance character.
